Gangguan stres dan kecemasan pada remaja: peran bimbingan dan konseling dalam mendukung kesehatan mental

Abstract

Gangguan stres dan kecemasan semakin prevalent di kalangan remaja, dan kondisi ini memiliki dampak signifikan terhadap kesejahteraan mental serta perkembangan individu. Sebagai respons terhadap permasalahan yang mendesak ini, bimbingan dan konseling muncul sebagai salah satu strategi yang dapat memberikan dukungan kepada remaja yang menghadapi tantangan kesehatan mental. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran strategis bimbingan dan konseling dalam mendukung kesehatan mental tersebut, dengan fokus pada intervensi yang efektif terhadap gangguan stres dan kecemasan. Menggunakan metode studi literatur, kajian ini mengeksplorasi berbagai sumber literasi, termasuk artikel jurnal ilmiah dan laporan penelitian terkini yang relevan. Analisis tersebut menggambarkan bagaimana stres dan kecemasan dapat memengaruhi aspek kehidupan remaja, mulai dari prestasi akademik hingga hubungan sosial. Temuan dari kajian ini menunjukkan bahwa intervensi bimbingan dan konseling tidak hanya memberikan dukungan emosional, tetapi juga berkontribusi dalam memperkuat mekanisme koping adaptif yang diperlukan untuk menangani stres. Selain itu, program bimbingan dan konseling telah terbukti mampu meningkatkan pemahaman diri remaja serta mengurangi stigma terkait isu kesehatan mental. Dengan demikian, pentingnya integrasi program bimbingan dan konseling ke dalam kerangka pendidikan formal menjadi semakin jelas, karena hal ini menyediakan respons yang komprehensif terhadap tantangan kesehatan mental yang dihadapi remaja. Diharapkan hasil penelitian ini dapat berfungsi sebagai referensi bagi pendidik dan praktisi dalam merumuskan program-program intervensi yang lebih efektif dan responsif.
