Abstract

This study aims to explore the management of character learning based on Islamic education through a literature review, using a qualitative approach. The development of character education, rooted in Islamic teachings, is essential in shaping the moral and ethical values of students. This review examines various scholarly sources on the principles, strategies, and outcomes of character-based learning within the framework of Islamic education. Key Islamic concepts such as akhlaq (morality), adab (manners), and tarbiyah (holistic education) are central to shaping student behavior and character. The research identifies successful practices in Islamic educational institutions, including the integration of Quranic teachings and prophetic traditions into the curriculum, as well as the role of educators as moral exemplars. However, challenges remain in implementing consistent character education, particularly in contemporary contexts that face increasing secularization and globalization pressures. The findings reveal a need for comprehensive management approaches that align pedagogy, curriculum, and community engagement with Islamic values. This review contributes to the ongoing discourse on character education, offering insights for improving its management in Islamic educational settings. Further research is recommended to explore the practical implications of these findings in diverse educational environments.
