About the Journal

Focus and Scope

Schoulid | Indonesian Journal of School Counseling is concerned with research, theory, or program applications pertinent to school counseling and people who have interests in all areas of counseling and school development. The aim of this journal is to give design and support for school counselor efforts to help students focus on academic, career and social/emotional development so they achieve success in school and are prepared to lead fulfilling lives as responsible members of society.

The section journal scope is all of student development and school counseling sevices such as career, academic, spiritual, social, and multicultural studies; coordination of services; consultation; leadership; advocacy; collaboration and teaming, managing resources; use of data, and; technology in school counseling. Published articles like evaluation reports and research findings; conceptual and methodological issues; and/or implications of the above for action; and/or an extensive book reviews section and also occasional reports on school counseling and educational materials and equipmen, are the main target of Schoulid Journal.

If you work with student populations (elementary school, junior high school, senior high school, and higher education or equivalent) or if you are concerned about the quality of school counseling and school or student development programs, you are welcome for Schoulid Journal.

Peer Review Process

Schoulid Indonesian Journal of School Counseling is a double blind peer-reviewed Journal. To ensure the integrity of the double blind peer-review for submission to this journal, every effort should be made to prevent the identities of the authors and both the reviewers from being known to each other. This involves the authors, editors, and reviewers (who upload documents as part of their review). Correspondence and all forms of published correction may also be peer-reviewed at the discretion of the editors. Typically, after a paper is submitted to this journal, a journal editor screens the manuscript and decides whether or not to send it for full peer review. Only after clearing the initial screening is the manuscript sent to one or more peer reviewers. Finally, journal editors or the journal’s editorial board consider the peer reviewers’ reports and make the final decision to accept or reject the manuscript for publication. In general, to be acceptable, a paper should represent an advance in understanding likely to influence thinking in the field (see Focus and Scope).

Reviewer selection is critical to the publication process, and we base our choice on many factors, including expertise, reputation, specific recommendations and our own previous experience of a reviewer's characteristics. For instance, we avoid using people who are slow, careless, or do not provide reasoning for their views, whether harsh or lenient. We check with potential reviewers before sending them manuscripts to review. Reviewers reserves the right to reject the script if the script review didn't match to the fields/expertise. Reviewers should bear in mind that all correspondeces in this journal contain confidential information, which should be treated as such.

Schoulid Journal are committed to rapid editorial decisions and publication, and we believe that an efficient editorial process is a valuable service both to our authors and to the scientific community as a whole. We therefore ask reviewers to respond promptly within the number of week agreed. If reviewers anticipate a longer delay than previously expected, we ask them to let us know so that we can keep the authors informed and, where necessary, find alternatives. In general, we need 1 (one) month to inform you about the results. Totally, review process for Schoulid Journal estimated time consuming up to 2 (two) months. Publication Frequency

Schoulid Journal publishing in Three Times for a year. The schedule for publishing are:
1. Issue Number 1 in April in each volume. Submission deadline March, 12th.
2. Issue Number 2 in August in each volume. Submission deadline July, 10th.
3. Issue Number 3 in December in each volume. Submission deadline November, 11th.
The author who will submit the manuscript after deadline of submission will be process for next issue.
